The French Football Federation (FFF) has named Betclic the title partner of its newly created Ligue 3. The three-season agreement expands a partnership that has been in place since 2021. Ligue 3 Betclic will kick off on 7 August 2026 as France’s new professional third division.
- Betclic will serve as title sponsor of Ligue 3 Betclic for the next three seasons. The operator already supports the French men’s and women’s national teams, the Coupe de France, Coupe de France Féminine and Arkema Première Ligue. The agreement now covers all major FFF competitions.
- All 306 regular-season matches of Ligue 3 Betclic will be shown live on Ligue 1+ during the inaugural 2026/27 season. The FFF said the league will also become the first competition in France to introduce the Football Video Support system (a simplified and lower-cost alternative to VAR that allows referees to review key incidents using video).
- Betclic said it will help promote the league through dedicated marketing focused on clubs, players and local communities. Betclic CEO Julien Brun said: “As title partner, we want to put Betclic’s technology and capabilities at the service of clubs, supporters, and local communities.” The financial terms of the three-season agreement were not disclosed.
